I can't hear you

Guess what, when you talk to me on your little ear peice head set that is attached in some way to your ear, I can't hear you. Can you hear me, because I can't hear you.

Does it improve your quality of life to struggle with every conversation, but never have to put the phone to your ear?

Don't you worry that this is merely the first step you are taking toward becoming a Cyber-Borg? Should I start calling you Robo-Cop?

Hypnobirthing...the only way to go

We had our first Hypnobirthing class last night. I registered for this class several months ago and have been eagerly awaiting them. Imagine my relief now that the classes have actually started.

Our first class met my expectations completely. I was pleased to learn that many of the principles I learned in Weight Watchers are similar or identical to those used in Hypnobirthing. For instance....the power of positive thinking and positive self talk is critical in weight loss and also Hypnobirthing. It took me a while to really believe that my positive or negative self talk really affected my outcome at WW, but after spending the time in the WW program, there is no denying that PST is crucial to success. Therefore it is easy for me to accept that PST will bring to pass and easy and gentle normal birth.

The other thing that I really took away from the class last night is that a confident relaxed mother (me) and body (also me) will allow my body's natural birth instincts to take over and birth this new baby with out the pain and fear I experienced last time.

We also got a taste of what relaxation through self hypnosis is like. I must say...very pleasant. Why more people don't use this tool for birthing is beyond me.

After my first class I must say...If you tell me I am crazy for doing this, I will only tell you that YOU are the one who is crazy for not doing this.

As it turns out...I AM a good person

I took the personality tickle.com color personality test @ web.tickle.com/color/ (if anyone is interested...thanks Camille.) It was fun, and who doesn't love getting a compliment about their personality. It only takes about five minutes.

Agree or disagree, these are the results it gave me...

"You're green, the color of growth and vigor. Good-hearted and giving, you have a knack for finding and bringing out the best in people. Green is the most down-to-earth color in the spectrum — reliable and trustworthy. People know they can count on you to be around in times of need, since your concern for people is genuine and sincere. You take pride in being a good friend. For you, success is measured in terms of personal achievement and growth, not by status or position. Rare as emeralds, greens are wonderful, natural people. It truly is your color!"

And there you have it. So as you can see...I AM a good person.
