Happy Election Day!

Just call me Suzie Homemaker. Yes I made these babies myself. In case you can't quite make these sugar cookies out...they are America. That's right, cookies shaped like this great country of ours. The other one is a flag. Then I spelled out "Election Day" with cookies. Classy huh, and patriotic I might add.

Beleive it or not. These are the best ones from the batch. Most of them came out looking like blobs. I guess I need to hone my sugar cookie making skills a little more.

If you are wondering where I got a cookie cutter in the shape of America...I made it. Just kidding. It came with a set of 15,000 cookie cutters in every shape you can imagine which I got as a wedding present.

So that's it folks, come get them while there hot.

P.S. Anyone who voted early is a sucker. Just thought i'd put that out there. There were no lines this morning at my polling location.

I just got home from voting...took me 25 minutes to drive there, vote and get back home. I know my parents voted early and it took them close to an hour. ha ha ha

Voting only took me 5 minutes...in and out. I even had time for some afternoon nookie with my husband before he headed off to his night class. I think I deserve a cookie for that!!!

Those look tasty! I am in a cookie making mood, but I am also on a winter diet. Sucks! But I voted yesterday and am proud of it!

I took my boys to my sister's fearing that Riser would try to influence others' decisions or just try to vote himself, I didn't need to worry... I was the only one there for most of the time I was there. Yay for being able to go in the middle of the day! Also, very impressed with your cookie decorating skills.

My question is did Alyssa attempt to shove cookie dough in her ear? I think Martha Stewart would be very intimidated by you.

Hey, fun to see you at the polls on Tuesday. I walked right in, too, and even had to go there twice since I wasn't on the list (hadn't voted since the last major election--I know, shame on me.) Anyway, did the letter cookie cutters come in the group or did you hand make those? If so, very impressive!

Fun cookies. I voted on election day too and walked right in. It was great (well, until later that evening at about 9:00)
