Favorable feedback only

As many of you may know, the process of coming up with a name for a child is often a long, tedious and tiring process. I have found what I believe is a super cute name for our next daughter. Sunny. Slightly "hippy" I know, but mostly just a happy name. I ask you, who wouldn't want to be friends with Sunny Sokol. Go ahead; say it to yourself out loud. You just can't help but like it.

Steve also likes the name but is not convinced that it is a stand-alone-name. He believes it's merely a nick name or Alyson or something similar. Since we already have a daughter named Alyssa, he thinks the name should be nixed from the list.

This is where you come in. Please leave your favorable feedback in the comments section to this post so that I may collect as many favorable opinions of Sunny as a stand-alone-name. If you have an unfavorable opinion of the name please feel free to scroll down and read a post I have previously written and leave a comment about that. I do have some rather interesting pictures and stories you may not have read. Unfavorable opinions are not appreciated regarding this matter.

With much love...

She's having a baby...another one

That's right, tell your friends, the Sokol's will be adding another child, a girl, to the family, making a total of four, sometime around the first of May. Yes we are excited(if by excited you mean terrified).

Happy Birthday Alyssa!

Alyssa turned two on October 18th. We threw her a small Halloween Costume party for just her cousins and closest friends in the neighborhood. Well the party would have been small if she didn't have so many cousins. It ended up being the world's biggest kid costume party.

We had all kinds of creatures, things, and people attend the party. Alyssa came as a baby chick. Some of the favorite costumes were corn-on-the-cob (Jacob), the Tomato (Nathan), Dragon (Brady), and the Princess (Hailey). It was so much fun to see all the kids walk through the door all dressed up. They were so proud of their costumes.

The kids got to fish for prizes in the fish pond and eat caramel apples. We also had yummy cake that Grandma Karen made.
She made Alyssa the cutest Sesame Street theme cake, Alyssa's favorite TV show.

Before the party started, we had been watching Sesame Street where we learned about the Beach and Ocean on Elmo's world. After seeing that segment, Alyssa insisted that I put on her swim suit so she could "play on the beach" like Elmo and the kids on TV. Because it was her Birthday, I obliged her desire. If I had known that she would refuse to take it off, I never would have put her in it. She ended up wearing her swim suit under her costume.
During the party she got hot and took the costume off and ran around in her swimming suit for the rest of the party. One of the perks of being the birthday girl I guess.

She got some great presents for her birthday. Highlights, piano, Nemo movie, cute clothes, Strawbery Shortcake bike.

We had a great time at the party. It was way too crowed and crazy, but a lot of people think Alyssa is special.
