Steve took the girls to his mom’s house the other night while I was at yet another compelling city council meeting.
During their visit they watched the Town Hall Presidential debate. The adults watched rather intently as Alyssa played in and out of the room while the debate was happening, appearing to pay no attention to it.
After about an hour she popped up in front of the T.V. and said… “I don’t like him (John McCain), he’s grouchy.” Then the cameras went to Barack Obama to which she said… “Yeah…he’s okay…He’s fun!!”
Everyone’s jaws dropped.
So there you have it. Alyssa has called the 2008 Presidential Election. Congratulations Barack….you’re fun!

Riser is an Obama fan too... Apparently he's the choice of toddlers everywhere...
Whoa...that is weird. I have a similar story:
A family member (Emily) recieved a call from her 2-year old neice (Emmy). The conversation then went as follows:
whitney (Emmy's mom): "emmy, tell emily who you liked on tv last night"
emmy: "OBAMA!" (imagine a very high, squeaky voice yelling into the phone)
emily: laughter, then, "emmy, who did you like?"
emmy: "OBAMA!"
whitney then told emily that during the presidential debate the other night, when john mccain stood up to speak, emmy went up to the tv and asked, "mommy, who's that?" whitney told her who it was and then emmy said, "he's weird." emmy then continued to interject, "no, no, no!" whenever mccain spoke. when obama stood up to speak, emmy emphatically said, "i like him!"
so there you have it. from the mouth of babes. so, for all of you undecideds, let the truly innocent decide for you. vote for barack obama.
I'm surprised that grandpa didn't kick her out of the family...
Go Lyssa!
